Information for the passengers about the Customs declaration
Migratory regulations
Who visit the country must have a current passport or a document of trip, sent to his name and corresponding visa or card of the tourist. This one will be requested in the consular Cuban representations, in the agencies of trips, air lines and in the airport to his arrival to Cuba.
There are two kinds of visa or card of the tourist: one for individual tourists or for tourists who travel in group. Businessmen, journalists according to work, and Cuban people not resident in the country or with another nationality, will have to obtain one visa sent by a Cuban consulate.
To the persons resident in the United States the access to our country is not recorded in his passports.
The Republic of Cuba prohibits to import::
Drugs and Narcotics.
Explosives.
Objects, photos, literature and any other pornographic article.
The animals, plants, and his parts that appear in the Annex N.1 of the Agreement of CITES protected species or in extinction.
Freezer more than 7 cubic feet of capacity.
Air conditioners.
Kitchens and electric burners, of any kind and model, including electric resistances.
Electric ovens, of any kind and capacity, including the known microwave.
Electric showers, of any kind and capacity.
Electric fryers of any kind and capacity.
Electric plates and toasters of bread.
Power stations of all kinds and capacity of generation.
About the extraction of cigar:
The traveler can extract of the country, up to 23 free Habano cigars, without official invoice of buy.
Over this capacity, the traveler have to claim originally and copy of the official invoice in the shop and to deliver the copy to the Customs-house where his departure is carried out with cigar, which debit to be in original pack, with the official qualifications
Buys of cigar over 2000 usd and up to 25000 usd, will be accepted if the traveler delivers to the Customs-house the copy of the invoice expressed by the certified shops.
Avoid disagreeable situations for you and the agents in the Customs-house. If you don't expire with the essential requisite of licit acquisition, the cigars will be seized, according with the established in the present legislation.
